A Quotation About Prayer From Dr. Joseph Murphy
Just Pondering Part 406
I read about a lady who felt hurt because she lost a few followers on Twitter. I more or less thought that she had wasted her energy when she had focused her attention on the followers she had lost on Twitter.
In reality, you cannot please everyone and some people may choose to unfollow you; this sort of thing not only happens with Twitter, it also takes place on all social networks.
The fact is: you will win some and you would lose some.

A Quotation About The Dual Nature Of Mind From Dr. Joseph Murphy
The first thing to remember is the dual nature of your mind. The subconscious mind is constantly amenable to the power of suggestion; furthermore the subconscious mind has complete control of the functions, conditions, and sensations of your body. Trust the subconscious mind to heal you. It made your body, and it knows all of its processes and functions. It knows much more than your conscious mind about healing and restoring you to perfect balance. — Dr. Joseph Murphy
A Quotation About People In Our Lives From Sarah McLachlan
Enough Games
We all know that there are a large number of businesspeople who enjoy grabbing any opportunity to make money; one of these opportunities is the opening of a call-centre that deals with psychic predictions.
People are taking this sort of thing for a game — one that rakes in the cash from naïve people.
Although there are genuine psychics out there, the majority of those who take your calls at those so-called psychic call-centres are pretenders.
You can’t take them to court for fraudulent activities, because whenever they advertise their services, they always include a message in fine print that states, “For entertainment purposes only.”

Agassiz By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I stand again on the familiar shore,
And hear the waves of the distracted sea
Piteously calling and lamenting thee,
And waiting restless at thy cottage door.
The rocks, the sea-weed on the ocean floor,
The willows in the meadow, and the free
Wild winds of the Atlantic welcome me;
Then why shouldst thou be dead, and come no more?
Ah, why shouldst thou be dead, when common men
Are busy with their trivial affairs,
Having and holding? Why, when thou hadst read
Nature’s mysterious manuscript, and then
Wast ready to reveal the truth it bears,
Why art thou silent! Why shouldst thou be dead?
Let Us Do Our Part To End Violence
I adhere to the belief that a man shouldn’t hit a woman and a woman shouldn’t inflict violence on a man either.
We live in the 21st century and I expect educated human beings to know better.
The truth is: violence doesn’t solve anything; it only makes the situation worse.
We need to stop perpetuating violence; human beings have unknowingly contributed to it by carrying out acts of corporal punishment at homes and even in some schools; now, what sort of behaviour do we expect them to learn when we treat them like that? We are indirectly saying to them that it is okay to slap little Linda or young Jimmy if they did something wrong and they in turn would grow up believing that it is okay to engage themselves in such behaviour.
Violence towards our fellow-human beings is a learned behaviour; it is one that some of us would definitely need to unlearn.
Without a doubt, you wouldn’t appreciate it if someone slapped you or kicked you because they weren’t pleased about something you did.
It is time that many people learned how to communicate with each other effectively; as a matter of fact, I think that this should be taught to everyone at an early age.
I also believe that we need to eradicate the practice of inserting violence into video games, literature, music and movies; violence should be appalling and not entertaining.
Acts of violence will not change overnight. However, you and I can do our part to put a stop to it and hopefully the morbid desire for violence will gradually diminish.
