Am I An Overachiever?

1_question-mark.jpgMost of the times when I do something, I think that it could have be done better; which is the case with most perfectionists.

In the past I use to edit my posts like Hell; I wouldn’t press that Publish button until I was satisfied (Although I don’t edit as much these days, I am still a stickler for proofreading).

It’s just that, I know that whatever I post is going to reflect me; something akin to a brand; for example: the Nike company is not going to wilfully send out a faulty product and in the same manner, I think that it is only fair that I produce posts without flaws.

Well, I guess that part of the issue stems from having perfection drilled into me from childhood; things like: dressing neatly, being on one’s best behaviour, making sure that one’s handwriting is legible, etcetera.

So, in this case, it is hard to accept something substandard; especially when I have been psychologically programmed to give my best.
