Just Pondering Part 663

No-GMOThere are times when I wonder: if people are aware that GMOs are bad for us, why do people still purchase them?

Genetically modified food is the Frankenstein of our age. It is without a doubt that the scientists at Monsanto created a monster — a type of monster that is capable of causing devastation upon our planet.

Some of us may think that reading the labels on our foodstuff can help us avoid GMOs; but this is not always the case, since it is not the law to specify if an ingredient (or worse, ingredients) are derivatives of GMO products in certain countries (Things like that only make me feel to boycott the supermarkets; I also realize that it is not the fault of a lot of supermarkets, since they are unaware themselves that they are distributing dangerous GMOs).

Thankfully, there are those who sell organic produce at the Farmer’s Market.

I can’t wait for the day that genetically modified organisms are wiped free from the planet and Monsanto brought to justice for their crimes.
