Just Pondering Part 600

Social Media Audit 2013

Social media has become part of most people’s lives; they are either on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etcetera.

Now, not everyone is involved in the workings of the social media; there are those who want nothing to do with it.

I am predicting that approximately fifteen years from now, almost everyone will be part of some type of social network.

First, it starts off innocently; a friend of theirs sends them an invitation to join a particular social network; they in turn would either accept or reject the invitation.

Let’s face the facts. Once we have friends that know our email address, there is a chance of receiving invitations from them to join a social network that they are apart of.

Let it be known that I have no intentions of joining any new social networks. I am satisfied with having a Facebook page for Renard Moreau Presents, a Twitter account and a Google Plus account; I do not need any more distractions.

People are free to be in all of the social networks on the internet; that is their choice.

And, it is also their choice to abstain from social media.

Social media is the figurative genie that refuses to go back into the bottle; now it has its freedom, it is here to stay.

Well put, Renard. I started off very innocently, too, and now I’m a bit of an addict. Any advice how to bring it under control?

  2. I only have twitter left now, and that will be going shortly as well.
