At The Table: Bliss Addiction, Or The Awakening Affair
Good morning and thank you for joining us this morning. Today we are feeling the effects of addiction. Yes, we have been waking up for so long now, (years) that we are feeling addicted to this process.
Have you been hanging out with pseudo-intellectual super spiritual superior beings lately? You know we have been witnessing many of these relationships lately!
For the last two weeks, we all have been elevated in experiences, and emotion. It felt as though we had reached a plateau that we could relax into this feeling of comfortable bliss, then, out of nowhere, one by one, we start sharing our roller coaster ride to the depths that we have not experienced in a long time.
One client confided that they felt like they literally gained 5 pounds overnight, and have been crying for the last two days out of the blue. She told me that she had not had this feeling of despair for months. In the process of balancing her and clearing her energy, she said she cannot identify what needs to be recognized and then released. I can see that she is battling this from a place from a past emotional experience of delight, (an enlightening moment). She is trying to merge this energy into the bliss she had been experiencing, and from her past patterns, she knows only by release and acceptance can she feel this. My question is; can you have Bliss, and then not seek it out? Can you control desire?
You see, here At the Table, we have been experiencing this downward flow of energy, and we all say the same thing; We want that feel good feeling of Bliss, and Joy and wonderment for the experiences. The truth is that we do not need these feelings of bliss, to be happy and be in our moment. They have already been experienced, now they need to relax, so the energy can do its work. There is so much going on behind the scenes.
We are always creating our JOE, our Journey Of Elucidation, but what happens, is we get addicted to that Bliss, so you then start fighting for balance. The search for Bliss can propel you into areas that are far beyond your ability to navigate. This “bliss addiction” is all about attachment to a sensation. You feel you must experience this feeling, this sensational high of Self, or you are not going anywhere, not accomplishing the awakening as it were. You need to take every experience and everything in your life in moderation, even enlightenment. Bliss should be taken in moderation, for a life that is completely blissful lacks reality.
After a strong, beautiful enlightening experience, you must allow these energies to solidify. The energy needs to rejuvenate itself. Going from one experience to the next does not maintain your fulfillment. This then is a “let down” feeling within yourself, and you put expectations upon yourself, and your journey, and then go into a funk like it’s your last day at Disneyland. Instead, you must allow some rest and relaxation into just being and enjoy where you are at this moment. It has been a magnificent journey, has it not?
At the Table, our posts in the past bring you many easy to follow steps to take. We covered the observations of ourselves, getting to stillness, solitude, taking off our masks, drinking your cup of JOE, and many more. These are steps to assist you in obtaining a comfort within yourself for this fantastic journey. This conversation today, is a very real part of our JOE. Our ego minds like us to stay in constant distress, constant thinking. This is our ego minds. This is illusion. The simple truth is you are doing everything the way you are supposed to. And as a matter of fact, too much of a good thing, turns the experience sour. Just feel that for a moment. How many times can you go on the same ride, before it gets dull and boring?
The more addicted you become to enlightenment, the less you participate in your human life. Your interactions with others are no longer satisfying, for yourself as well as for others. You basically are putting your human experiences on hold. It is just like any other addiction, you get so intertwined in it, that you only function in that bliss state of being. Everything else feels like the bottom is going to fall out! As humans, we conditioned ourselves to stay busy so we did not focus on the negative experiences we brought to ourselves and we did not have to take responsibility for our own suffering and dis-like of ourselves, therefore, staying busy becoming awake, is a very human, lower vibration habit activity. You bring too much stress into the energy of “becoming”, and then the cycle just evolves into the ego minded need for more
The secret that will assist you in avoiding this addiction is to be with yourself, expecting nothing to happen. Just enjoy meditating for even 10 minutes. Then go for a walk, and then write in your journal. Cry if you feel the need to; laugh out loudly if you feel you want to. Just be with yourself. Do not expect each day to be filled with enlightening moments, although there can be, do not expect them to happen. We are not saying to shut down, we are advocating for balance in the doing and the becoming.
At the Table we have great news just in; you are awakening at the speed of Light. You really are! Your physical body is going through so much metamorphosis, and you are more balanced than you believe you are. Remember, this all is truly just an experience. You are creating HOW your awakening looks and feels. You woke up a long time ago! You started the awakening process the day you started playing the game. And that was the day you incarnated upon this Earth.
At the Table, we know we are made of goodness. You are human, but you also are totally made of goodness. Slow down and be so in Love with yourself and loving that feeling and you will not need another feeling to manufacture. All other experiences will then be created out of the goodness that you are naturally, as your true essence comes shining through. Have the courage to own your story, and be comfortable in this skin you are in right now. This is a rewarding process, but also we know, a difficult journey as well. But your own story is exactly how you wrote it. Humans are the only species on this planet that depending on our mood may or may not choose to love ourselves. Have you ever known a cow who did not like himself enough that he desperately wanted to be a cat? Or a tiger so depressed due to low self-esteem? Seriously, if you cannot love yourself, you have literally replaced Love with Fear. Accept that you have the fear and truly embrace that knowing, and then realize, it is truly just an experience in how we ourselves perceive ourselves. Let it go and then start the beautiful journey into loving yourself. Love all your experiences, and love being still. Believe me, your river will reach the ocean, and it is a beautiful journey as it flows!
Thank you for joining us At the Table. We are preparing a quiet day, in the hammock, with a good book, and our journals close by. As always we are honored to share what is On my Plate. Namaste’
