I encountered many vegans via social networking and also through the blogosphere. However, I never encountered anyone who claimed to be a breatharian.
So far, I have only read about them and have wondered if they truly exist, or if breatharianism on the whole is one of the biggest myths of all time.
From a logical point of view, the human body acquires its sustenance from the food that we eat and the various types of liquids that we consume.
Now, there are many benefits to fasting; but breatharianism seems to be on the extreme end of fasting, since it consists of not eating or drinking anything for the remainder of one’s lifespan on Planet Earth.
Breatharianism goes against all the laws of biology and chemistry; there is something about it that doesn’t make sense.
For the record, there are lots of things that go on this planet that scholars are unable to make proverbial heads or tails of; they fall into the inexplicable category — unsolved mysteries — the type of mysteries that cannot be solved by our latest scientific methods.
Is breatharianism one of those unsolved mysteries?
Unfortunately, I am unable to confirm if breatharians exist and I have no solid proof that denies their existence.
