How far would you go to enlighten people? If you knew for a fact that the information you were willing to share could get you into a whole lot of trouble, would you still share it? Or, would you remain quiet?
We all know that there are a lot of brave people who risk their lives and their good reputation to disseminate the truth among the masses.
After all, people have a right to know what is really going on in the world.
Sometimes, when the CIA does something that is unlawful, it leaks out into the public and people start hearing about it.
I believe that over three quarters of the planet’s population are aware of Monsanto’s agenda and it is all because someone blew the figurative whistle on them.
Some people have written about the atrocities of public figures; as a result, they had their blogs shut down and some of those individuals were forced to retract their statements or face a lawsuit head on.
Then there were others who had their lives threatened.
Sometimes, those public figures play mind games; here is an example:
A writer decides to tell the truth about what really happened on the planet, Mars. So, the powerful figure decides to disseminate disinformation that would counteract the writer’s information. Or, they laugh at the writer and the call him or her, “A crackpot.”
I am sure that big companies like Coca Cola and Pepsi didn’t like it at first when someone educated the public about the health risks of drinking sodas.
Also, if someone wrote the truth about how some companies treat their workers, those companies’ profits could dwindle.
In reality, not everyone will be receptive to the whistle-blower’s message. But, there are those who would definitely pay close attention to the whistle-blower’s message.
It is not fair that people live in ignorance and it is always a good idea to inform the masses of the various types of activities taking place in the world.
Knowledge is power and when others use the information that they learned wisely, they themselves become empowered.
A truly enlightened person doesn’t keep the information to themselves, they share it with others who are willing to accept it.
All whistle-blowers have an important role to play — the task of removing the figurative blindfolds that were placed over their eyes by the ones whose desire it is to keep them ignorant.
