Just Pondering Part 326

ThreadmillThere are a lot of people who purchase exercise equipment and it ends up collecting dust due to lack of use.

These exercise machines aren’t cheap. A person can buy an average of a year’s worth of clothing or food with that money.

Lack of motivation combined with a lack of discipline has its part to play in the person ignoring their exercise equipment.

Now, a person is not going to see the results overnight. So, it is rather naïve for a person to believe that they can do abdominal crunches with their exercise machine and expect to see impressive results the following day. It would take quite awhile before a person can start seeing the desired results.

Another thing is: a person may think that their exercise machine is incapable of providing the results that they want. But, when we examine their lifestyle closely, we would find that many of them haven’t changed their eating habits; they still consume those sugary, or salty, high-fat foods and that they still drink lots of alcohol and smoke incessantly.

In many cases, it is not the fault of the exercise machine for not providing them with that level of fitness. The problem lies with the user and not the exercise machine.

If you have purchased an exercise machine, I suggest that you use it diligently, because it would be a waste of money not to do so.

  1. Your observation is the same here in UK, exercise gadgets rarely used. I have no exercise machines, I run everywhere and wonder why other people won’t do the same.

  2. I use to use mine (after the new wore off) as something to hang my laundry on to dry. However, now it is just sitting there staring at me making me feel guilty. At least I can ride while watching TV…LOL
