WordPress Is At It Again

WordPressSome of you would know that I like to use my smartphone whenever I am away from the computer. Today, I had an unpleasant surprise; I discovered that I couldn’t press, “Like,” to any of the posts on WordPress  which I found enjoyable; that was what I endured via smartphone.

What did WordPress  do that caused the “Like” feature on my smartphone to be unresponsive? Were they doing upgrades again? Was it an issue with the servers?

Glitches tend to have me uneasy; it’s as though I was shoved outside of my comfort-zone today. I was forced to use the computer to press, “Like,” for those posts on WordPress  which I truly enjoyed; I perceived that to be an unnecessary task because it was my intentions to use the smartphone for that purpose.

So, if you don’t see me pressing, “Like,” to any of your posts, it is not that I hate them, it is the mere fact that the “Like” button is inoperable in regards to the mobile version (I am praying that WordPress  rectifies that problem as soon as possible, so things can go back to how they were).

  1. While the constant upgrades are probably, likely, maybe a good thing, it sure is a pain when you go looking for something familiar and it is not there.

  3. hi renard. wordpress tech issues are beyond aggravating. its as if the site operates with a series of clandestine rules and loopholes that us bloggers will never know about. and then they change them and we figure out whats gone wrong weeks later after dealing with the downsides. sorry to hear youre dealing with them too.
tell me if this sounds familiar: my blog readership dropped off by half overnight starting a few weeks ago—even though likes have almost doubled?? and followers have increased at a healthy clip. wtf?? it was a noticeable cliff dive that my stats reflect….. :(
i am doing the little things to not undermine the blog from the moment i hit publish; keeping the number of tags i use below nine, etc.. and my numbers skydived.
is anyone else experiencing this crazy phenom??? if its just me thats ok.. but hell id like to know. and we are hoping its not..
please tell us its a new type of wordpress set up that is to blame?
    thanks… O & OM..

    • [ Smiles ] Thank you for sharing your experience, my friend.

Some blogging experts have recommended that you do not exceed 10 tags since it could be misconstrued as spam by certain search engines.

I use 8 to 10; I seem to be in the safe zone.

I am sorry to hear that your readership has dropped in spite of having more followers and more, “Likes.”

WordPress is trying my patience since I am unable to “Like” posts via my smartphone.

Hopefully, WordPress might work out the technical hiccups in time.

  4. I’ve been having a whole bunch of glitches. It really is quite aggravating, but I look at the overall picture, and the amount of time I deal with glitches in comparison to when things go right, I can’t complain. For now anyway. I am questioning things though. I have a few websites I have tried to follow and WP won’t let me or if I do I can’t manage them as to how often I want to receive posts. These sights are rather noisy about what is going on in the world and our corrupt Government. I am wondering if they are now monitoring what we can and cannot read? If so, Govt is controlling the web more and more…..VK

    • [ Smiles ] I have a feeling that there is some censorship taking place on a small scale.

Or, someone hacked into WordPress’ servers and caused a little havoc.

I too have noticed that I can no longer access certain blogs on WordPress.
