It is my belief that one of the worst things that a person can do is place a television set in their bedroom; I see that as a violation of one’s sacred space.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if the people who placed television sets in their bedrooms had irregular sleep patterns.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if they went to work feeling drained of their energy.
Let us face the facts, if you don’t get your allotted amount of sleep because you stayed up watching television all night, chances are you going to feel really messed up the following day.
Don’t ever place a television set in your bedroom; it is not a good idea and it will eventually prove itself to be counterproductive.
its my companion when i’m sick and in bed.
The tv in the livingroom is the worst place because it denies people interaction with their loved ones….and it makes too much dang noise when the rest of us are trying to do our blogging/thinking…lol
[ Smiles ] Thank you for sharing that with me.
Well…when you live in your bedroom, it is more or less a necessity, (for me anyways) You just have to know when to turn it off and what to watch. I sometimes like the noise as a constant so I am not awaked by other noise, however I will only sleep to movies that I know the content of and have seen countless times, no television with advertisements.
[ Smiles ] Hmmm. Interesting!
Really? Interesting…care to comment further?
[ Smiles ] The part about you having it to provide background noise so you’re are not awakened by other noise is what I deem interesting.
LOL I have one in my bedroom but oddly enough I never really watch it…not sure what that says about me…perhaps that I don’t think enough before I buy things!
[ Smiles ] Only you can answer that.
Thanks for your input!
I have always advocated for a national Blow Up Your Television day…what fun….VK
[ Laughs ] I would definitely support your idea!
Better still get rid of the television altogether. I lost count of the years without television. No regrets.
Here, Here! I haven’t had TV connection for over 20 years. I am a better human being for not watching the tube. When I get near one in an airport, I feel like I’m being sprayed with bullets. So much more fun to read or blog.
[ Chuckles ] I am with you on that one.
Thank you for your input!
[ Smiles ] That’s great news, Alex.
How about an iPad, offering endless possibilities to keep us awake
?
[ Chuckles ] Hmmm.
