When we were children, we didn’t hesitate for a moment to play with insects and animals.
As many of us grew older, things started to change. There is no way that you can get some people to play with insects or to pique their interest in animals.
What I have noticed is that adults do most of the killing; as a matter of fact, the adults were the ones who invented dangerous insecticides and there are some unscrupulous adults who kill animals for sport.
What in God’s name really took place with those people? Why the drastic change?
Many mystics have said that children are in touch with the spiritual side of themselves (I believe this to be true).
Some people have adopted the materialistic approach to life; this might of been instilled by their parents, relatives, media, educational institution, etcetera.
A major contributor to that type of thinking may have stemmed from the belief that man is superior to everything else on the planet, so he treats everything else as though it were inferior to him.
I am of the belief that there are a group of people who need to get in touch with the spiritual aspect of themselves (Now, I didn’t say all, because there are those who are already in touch with the spiritual aspect of themselves).
Those who are deeply connected to the world of spirit are aware that insects and animals are not inferior to them because they are interconnected to all things via Infinite Spirit.
The irony is: Nature is filled with insects and animals and the person who is out of touch with Nature, is out of touch with theirself.
Without a doubt, it is time that some people got in touch with their inner child — the part of them that is highly tuned to the spiritual energies within them and around them.
So true Renard! When I consider men to date, they have to like cats. Mainly because I have cats, but also because a man who likes cats seems to have the right amount of their feminine side intact and tend to be more gentle and and considerate people. I can’t imagine not having a close connection with animals in general! It’s one of the main reasons this country is in such a bad way. A total disconnect from nature and hence from ourselves and caring for either goes out the window,,,,VK

I couldn’t agree more
[ Smiles ] Thank you for your input, my friend.
What an excellent post Renard, if only more could see this.. Without our insect and animal kingdoms the world would not sustain life to enable us to live…
and connect with that infinite Spirit..
I have a two year old granddaughter and I am taking great delight in teaching her the ways of living in harmony with all creatures of our Earth Plane… and showing her how these insects live… She is not afraid of them unlike myself who was brought up to fear spiders as my mother disliked them.. However I overcame my fear many years ago.. and now live quiet happily with spiders…
Children are taught Fear from their elders, and that is why a child will play with insects and see no danger in things around them…. Arrrgh if only we could all live as Children….
Wonderful Post

Your input is highly appreciated!
The modern education system probably has a part in destroying the empathy of children for nature.
[ Smiles ] Very much so!
Thank you for sharing your perspective, Alex.
