Sylvester Stallone wants people to know that in spite of his tough Rambo image and his film Bullet To The Head, where he is portrayed shooting the bad guys, that he is in favour of the new national gun control legislation.
The 66-year-old actor, supported the 1994 “Brady bill” that included a now-expired ban on assault weapons, and hopes that ban can be reinstated.
He also had this to say about the matter: ”I know people get (upset) and go, ‘They’re going to take away the assault weapon.’ Who … needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you’re carrying out an assault. … You can’t hunt with it. … Who’s going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?”
We all know how celebrities can be influential. However, there are a lot of Americans who believe that this gun ban is a violation of their rights.
Good on him.

I am with “Rambo” on this. I have no understanding why a civilian needs an assault weapon which is designed for military offensive operations.
