Ten Months On WordPress

10Wow, time flies! I have managed to survive ten months of posting on WordPress  (When one LOVES blogging, there is always a great chance of them successfully passing the figurative test of time).

There is an old saying: “Never damn the bridge that you have crossed.” However, I can happily say that I burnt that bridge after crossing it; that proverbial bridge was, Google’s Blogger; the place where this blog originally started. Those of you who have been following me in the beginning, would know that I migrated my blog to WordPress  in April of last year. Like many people who did the High Tech  migration, I came to the decision to delete it on Google’s Blogger  (It made sense to me, because all my posts were safely transferred to WordPress; I didn’t delete the version on Google’s Blogger  right away due to sentimental reasons; however, a few months after of making peace with my decision, I deleted my blog on Google’s Blogger).

Also, at that time, the majority of my blogs were composed on my smartphone and Google’s Blogger  upgraded their interface; that upgrade didn’t allow me to post my articles via my BlacBerry; I was only able to perform that task by the aid of my PC; I was very displeased; the irony is: If that technical hiccup didn’t take place, I would have never joined the WordPress  blogosphere.

Today, the grand irony is: A large percentage of my posts are done via PC (I certainly didn’t see that one coming).

I can happily say that I am proud to be a member of the WordPress  community and I wondered on many occasions: Why I didn’t make the switch sooner? Anyway, the most important thing is: I did make that switch!

It was brought to my attention that some of the people who are part of the WordPress  community were once part of Google’s Blogger.

I even found out that some of them have blogs on both WordPress  and Google’s Blogger.

It is my opinion (And the opinion of others as well), that WordPress  is much more fun.

If you are truly serious about your blog and post the things that truly resonates with your soul, you too can survive the test of time.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support and for following my posts.

I promise to continue doing what I do best; which is: The production of wonderful posts.

LOVE and Light to you, Dear Ones and may you all experience success in the blogging arena.

  1. Glad you decided to use this one. I still have my google blog. I use it for other stuff, more personal. Somewhere I can stress out and get upset on (yes, I do get upset but I don’t show it on here) so I don’t give out the details.

  2. I love this post because it shows the excitement that I feel as well (through blogging). Congrats on the 10 months. And yes, WP IS fun! (I haven’t tried Google Blogger, though). I’ve been blogging for…almost 5 months now and just LOVE it. I really need to get more followers though. I think I have about 85ish.

    • [ Smiles ] Thank you!

As you continue to do what you do best, the number of your followers will increase. Like everyone else, we started at zero.

  3. Torn Between Two Loverswas a great song by Mary MacGregor back in 1976, but it certainly doesn’t apply to my feelings between Blogger and WordPress Renaud! I love blogging on WordPress! WordPress is XBox to Blogger’s Atari, it’s that simple. Having only the basic blog capabilities and not a fully downloaded blog, I hate not being able to use more plugins on wordpress. Blogger lets me use scripting, which is why I have built a second site there, if only to show some toys I’d like to show on wordpress. But I’m with you, overall wordpress is a place I only hope I can stay and enjoy for as long as you have. Have a great weekend!
