I have spent many nights outdoors and I never came across werewolves or any of those mythical vampires that are often spoken about in folklore. However, I have been around those modern-day energy vampires that seem to feed off of our energy level; some of them consciously feed on us while others do it unconsciously (Once you’ve figured out who they are, it is a good idea to stay away from them).
In spite of the many strange things that seem to lurk in the proverbial dark, I still think that life is highly amazing.
Many years ago, I had a friend over at my house. We were speaking about things of a metaphysical nature in the living-room when we noticed that the light in the kitchen came off without anyone flipping the switch. We thought that it was some naughty poltergeist having some fun, trying its best to scare us; we laughed at it and the kitchen-light came back on without anyone touching the switch.
My friend and I were into the habit of lending each other books that dealt with the Occult (Don’t let the word, “Occult,” scare you since it is just another word for, “Secret.” The secret arts; long forgotten metaphysical practices that were done by Tibetan monks from the East).
We also associated ourselves with those who had the same interest as us; but that association only lasted a few years, since for some inexplicable reason, everyone went their separate ways.
Unfortunately, there are those who take this knowledge of the ancients and abuse it for their own needs. I was told that there was a friend of a friend who used the power of hypnosis to walk into a cinema with the intentions of watching a free movie and I was told that it worked.
The only thing of significance that I have really done was summon cloud-cover to keep me shaded and cool on hot days and requested some rain now and then (Let us hope that I didn’t commit any Universal violations were this is concerned).
One of my friends was gifted with dreams; many of the things that he saw within his dreams eventually came to light.
Luckily, my gifted friends and I didn’t live in an age where people were burnt to the stake, because someone thought that we were witches; anything that the average person doesn’t understand is misconstrued as either being superstition, supernatural or witchcraft.
I really don’t blame some spiritual healers when they decide to keep their ability a secret; because there are those among us who are frightened by things that happen out of the ordinary; especially things that they are unable to find logical reasons for.
In the past, I thought about creating or joining a brotherhood. But these days, I enjoy doing it solo; in that way, I only have me to answer to.
