Issues With Chrome

Google ChromeAre there any other people out there who are having problems with Google’s Chrome?

For approximately one week, I have been having some serious problems with Google’s Chrome; the browser takes longer to load than the others and I get the message that pops up asking me to kill pages or wait. Most of the times, I have to relaunch that particular browser in order for it to work properly.

The major issue started when I received a message from Google alerting me that my browser was automatically updated.

The whole process of relaunching Google’s Chrome  is quite time-consuming. I even thought about uninstalling it and re-installing. Luckily for me, Google’s Chrome is not the only browser that I have installed on my computer; I have others; such as: Windows Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Mozilla Firefox and RockMelt.

Since Google’s Chrome  automatically updates itself, I will wait for it to do so again before taking drastic measures.

In the meantime, I will continue to use my other browsers; that way, I would avoid being stressed out by Google’s Chrome.

  1. Being no fan of Google I refused to use their Browser, preferring Firefox. Are you sure you have not been hit by a trojan?

    • [ Smiles ] Zone Alarm Extreme Security would have detected it.

Thanks for the link; I didn’t press update like how the other browsers would ask us to. I said that it was automatically updated.

At the moment, I am on Mozilla Firefox; my tech adviser likes this browser.

      My favourite is Safari.

  2. Hi Renard, I think it depends on your operating system. I recently bought a new computer with win 8 and no problems. But my old laptop running win vista, chrome keeps crashing since the last update. It’s so frustrating I’ve installed Firefox and that’s running fine. If you can, report problems to google and hopefully they’ll have a fix soon. Other than that, chrome is my favorite browser and I’d hate to give it up. Yes I also notice it running slower lately, and it takes 3x longer to boot up. :( Good luck with it.

  3. I too been having problems quite similar to yours . there have been times when my connection gets totally cut off and some sites are harder to access than others.

      • Same to you . I thought it was just me , but I did a scan on my computer and I do have extra security .. everything was fine on my end. I even called my internet provider to see if they were having some technical difficulties and the answer was no.
