I am sorry to say that we have many snake murderers here in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. A person may see a snake in the road; it could be headed in the opposite direction and they would make it their priority to kill the creature. All the person needs to do is say the word, “Snake,” and someone would come out running with their very long and sharp blade to assist in the massacre.
Unfortunately, snakes were branded negatively; this could have started when people read about the serpent that deceived Eve in The Holy Bible.
Human beings have a way of taking things out of context and many of them take inappropriate action without really knowing the true meaning behind ancient texts.
As strange as this may sound to some people, snakes have every right to exist on this planet.
Killing snakes out of ignorance is a sure sign that a person’s mindset is stuck in those dark medieval times.
I think many of us find them scary… I know I do… I can’t even look at them on TV or in a picture let alone seeing a real one…
Just scary lol
[ Laughs ] I admire your honesty!
Imagine how it would feel to kill so many snakes, then come back in the next life as one.
[ Smiles ] That would be most unfortunate.
It is unfortunate that this happens. We have two types of snake in Britain, both which are protected by law. I am surprised your islands have snakes, are they an indigenous species?
[ Smiles ] We have our indigenous species as well as those that were brought in from foreign countries.
