Those of us who have pets know that they sometimes try our patience and they can occasionally leave us bewildered.
My dog, Princess, left some dead lizards in the yard for me; I had no choice but to clean up after her.
A lady once mention to me about the time when her cat left her an unwanted gift; it was a dead mouse which the cat had left around the house.
Maybe, that is their idea of getting their thrill. Or, it could be their way of saying, “Look mummy/daddy, as you can see, I am working for my food and not lazing around the yard whole day.”
My cat used to leave half frogs for me
[ Laughs ] Very interesting!
It is one strategy an animal uses to reward you. In the wild animals will bring back food to their own “family”, especially noted in wolves and wild cats.
[ Smiles ] Most intriguing, Alex.
I have learnt something new.
they are honoring you with a prized gift.
[ Smiles ] Hmmm. So much for the honour.
My cat got dead mice too, but I am very happy about that as one of the mice was in the house, great mouse hunter, my Thomas!
[ Smiles ] Thank you for sharing that experience with me.
