My Ups And Downs With Skype

Skype LogoAlthough I have Skype installed on the laptop; it is something I hardly use; most of the times when I log on to it, no one appears to be online.

A few days ago, I was unable to update it or uninstall it (I wanted to uninstall it because it was refusing to update itself and uninstalling it and reinstalling it seemed to be a good idea at the time).

Two days after, the mind-boggling incident, I was able to update Skype in a hassle-free manner.

I am curious. Do you like Skype?  Do you use it regularly? Do you use it once in awhile? Or, is it something that you do not care to use?

With the aid of Skype, a person can communicate with others who are holders of a Skype account for free and with the premium aspect of it (Which is the paid version), a person can call landlines and mobile phones at reasonable calling-rates.

  1. I use it every night to talk to my friends who are away or to my classmates to discuss projects. It is a great service actually.

  2. I love skype, however, I have Tango in my phone so I can hangout with my friends who use tango.. Although I believe that the voice quality with skype is great ! I love skype.. I have the free account and I have never found the need to upgrade. I have used skype pretty much when I was in school for mock test..

  3. It’s my main mean of communications. With some people I simply chat, with others I talk. I gave up Yahoo loooooooooong ago as it was a pain to load work and all the bimbos and hungry dudes would simply add and add without a care. I found that dumb so I moved on to MSN. Surprisingly, I really really liked it. It has mail support, it doesn’t eat my resources, it loads right away and you have all the features you would want like file transfer (only to other msn users I think, though), voice calls etc.
Thing is, skype is widely used and allows me to connect with people outside my country easily, practice my english, have fun, use it to plan out stuff for in-game etc.
Besides the load time and annoying feedback I get while I use it, it’s quite a good program to have.
I wish they would update some stuff but it’s alright overall. MSN and Skype are the only programs I really need. I do have some Gmails but that’s only because of Youtube’s silly registration thing.
